Feb3 is a pioneering refugee-led organization reimagining the future of displacement. Founded and led by refugees, we are the first of our kind to advocate for refugees, by refugees and connect refugees and forcibly displaced persons across the Global South, including Africa, Latin America, and Asia, with opportunities to rebuild their lives within the Global South. We advocate against dangerous, life-threatening journeys to the Global North, and we offer a powerful alternative: safety, dignity, and hope in the regions refugees already call home.

Our work is grounded in empowering displaced communities and creating pathways for sustainable futures through regional connection, economic resilience, and local opportunity. We understand the immense dangers of migration routes like the Sahara Desert, Mediterranean Sea, Red Sea, Darién Gap, Andaman Sea, and Southeast Asian jungle corridors, where many face rape, killing, trafficking, and exploitation. Feb3 advocates for alternatives that keep refugees safe in the Global South, offering insights and support to help them make informed decisions about their futures.

Central to our approach is research, providing data-driven insights into the opportunities and challenges refugees face in their home regions. We engage in research that informs not only our advocacy but also refugee-led innovation, ensuring that our solutions are rooted in local realities and community-driven strategies. By combining direct support with rigorous research, we empower refugees to thrive where they are, creating sustainable solutions that benefit both displaced communities and the wider region.

Led by Mekebib Tadesse Assefa, a refugee who has personally experienced the hardships of displacement, we are especially committed to building a safer, more hopeful future for refugees in Latin America, Africa, and Asia.
